Summer has arrived and life is in full swing. I have been so incredibly busy these past months completing websites for Du-Rite Electric and The Weisenheimers, all things derby, and trying to get my house ready to go up for sale, that I haven’t been able to concentrate on my photography as I’d like. I had hoped to have a few themed shoots set up for this summer but it seems it will have to wait until this fall. I am in need of building up my Pin Up and Boudoir portfolio so if you are interested in having these photos taken and will let me use them on the website please contact me, I will work out a deal with you. I feel like I have so much I want to accomplish and not enough time, if only there were more hours in a day.

I have managed to stay in good health since spring so that is an amazing accomplishment. I’ve also been doing a lot of soul searching, which seems to be an ongoing thing with me. I’m blessed to be surrounded by so many creative people; they are inspiring, and feed my creative fire. Now I just need to get things moving…. Faster. I have this idea in my head from when I was younger that I HAVE to be working for myself by the time I’m 35. Having just celebrated my 34th birthday, I have 1 year to make that happen. I’ve got a lot of work to do.

I hope you all find time to enjoy your summer, spend time with friends and loved ones, and most of all stay safe.

After a long cold winter I’m always so eager to have spring arrive. As it gets closer I have stark reminders of why Spring is NOT my friend, namely; Cold, Flu, Allergies, Sinus Infection and Strep throat. Oh yeah! I’ve had them all in the past month, I can’t remember one day in March that I actually felt good. Wait, I take that back. I felt good for the first time in weeks yesterday, which is technically March 31st. I tend to get hit with one or two things, but this year… this year was a doozy!

Needless to say I’m behind in work, estimates, invoicing and replying to pricing inquiries about freelance photography. To all of you, I apologize. I will be addressing these this week. I am also moving ahead with the studio and getting it all situated. It’s a slow process because of my work load, but it will hopefully be done by the end of April, or mid May at the latest.

April is a busy month for Roller Derby also. The O.R.G. has something going on every weekend this month. If you get a chance, come check us out. I post events to this website, but you can always check things out at http:www.omaharollergirls.com.

I hope this spring finds you in good health!

As it is every year, it’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. So much so, I’m writing this in Feb, instead of Jan.

Can you believe we have a new president? A new president that can string words together and form a cohesive, intelligent sentence? A president that stirs up feelings of much needed hope and inspiration during this trying time of economic disaster and long drawn out war? Did you notice he was black? It’s monumental, and I took great care in expressing to my 6 year old why it is such a big deal, and how enormous and historical this event is. Such a wonderful time, and I can’t wait for even more change.

Speaking of change, I changed this site around, A LOT. I took the last year to do some serious soul searching, and have come to the realization of what my true passions are. I’m going to honor those passions by pursuing them. Pursuing them now, not later… forging ahead, fearless, pushing limits, stepping out of my comfort zone. Life has been put into perspective, the things that mean the most to me are now in focus. I will now begin to LIVE again… actually living life. And this new version of my website will be a reflection of this change.

I’m feeling inspired, creative and even though the nation is on this crazy roller coaster ride, I feel like everything and every body is going to be alright.

What will you change?

Jenifer
